What is an example of a claim?
If you’re ever in a situation where you need to make a warranty claim, be sure to fully understand the process. Here’s an example of how it works:
1. You call CHOICE and provide your name, address, date of purchase, and the Type of Claim (Cable/Phone/Water Leak).
2. CHOICE will ask if there are any photos or videos you’d like to submit with your claim. If so, they’ll send those along too.
3. Once you have all of the necessary information, CHOICE will begin its investigation. Depending on the particular claim, they may request additional information or documents from you (like receipts).
4. After completing their investigation, CHOICE will issue a final determination as to whether or not your claim is covered by the warranty and what repairs or replacements are required.

If you have a problem with your home, Choice Home Warranty can help. You can file a claim online or by calling 1-800-527-3342.
To file a claim online, follow these steps:
1. Go to choicehomewarranty.com and click on the “Claims” tab.
2. Click on the “Online Claim” button in the upper right corner of the page.
3. Complete the form and click submit.
4. If you have pictures or videos of your damage, you will need to upload them before clicking submit.
5. Your claim will be processed within two business days, and you will receive an email notification once it is approved or denied.
6. If your claim is approved, Choice Home Warranty will send you a check for the amount of your claim plus applicable taxes and fees*.
7. If your claim is denied, Choice Home Warranty will provide you with information about why it was denied and how to appeal.*

When does a claim get paid, and how soon after?
A Choice Home Warranty claims process begins when the homeowner files an initial claim. The company then reviews the claim to determine if it is valid, and if so, sets a time limit for the insurance company to pay. If the claim is not valid or the time limit has lapsed, the insurance company will contact the homeowner to let them know. If payment has not been receive within 30 days of contact, Choice may file a lawsuit against the homeowner.
